AFFI Episcopal

​District One 

Episcopal District One is the founding region of the Apostolic Faith Fellowship International, Inc. It also served as the launching pad for many of our national ministries and national ministry officers. 

Established in 2012

Episcopal District One was founded by the Presiding Bishop himself, Bishop Charles Johnson. Along with the assistance of the Late Asst. Presiding Bishop Ronald L. Sanders and the Diocesan Bishop Elect at that time, Bishop Frank Johnson. These three men laid the foundation for what we now call District One. 
​In addition to these men a group of other leaders were developed to take the region further into excellence in ministry. 

Our Mission

This great District has been built on core principles, such as prayer, fasting, unity and steadfastness. These element along side of organized work efforts have allowed our council to grow from a few churches to over 16 churches and the birth of new ministries. 
As the vision of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ is fulfilled we push for greater influence in this world by preaching Jesus and evangelizing our communities through the truth of Gods word. In this we have seen countless souls filled with Gods spirit and baptized in Jesus' name. And new churches planted to fulfill the great commission, to go make disciples.

Bishop Alphonso L. Bratcher
Diocesan Bishop

Bishop Bratcher is the Senior Pastor of The Way Back to Pentecost Church, Washington, D.C. also covering The Way Back to Pentecost Church Baltimore and serves as a member of the Board of Bishop's of the Apostolic Faith Fellowship Int'l, Inc. He has served as a faithful member of the council since its inception, working tirelessly and serving his way up the ranks.  

Bishop Philip S. Watkins
Council Chairman

Bishop Watkins is the Senior Pastor of Greater Morning Star Apostolic Church, Alexandria, VA. in July, 2019 he was consecrated to the office of Bishop. In addition he was hand-picked by the Late Bishop Frank Johnson to be Council Chair in 2014. Working along side the Presider, he has developed many of the systems now in place which have caused growth and success within this council. 

Bishop Joseph Marcus
Vice Chairman

Bishop Marcus is the Senior Pastor of New Foundation Apostolic Ministries Int'l, Bowie, MD. And the founder of NFAM #2, Laurel, MD. In July, 2019 he was consecrated to the office of Bishop in the Lords Church. He was selected by the Council Chair to serve long side him. He also has established the License and Credentials department and serves as the dean of AFFI Bible Institute.
