Word from our Diocesan
GREETINGS IN THE MATCHLESS NAME OF JESUS!
My heart is filled with joyful gratitude for God’s mercy and
grace, and I am humbled to accept the call to serve as your
Diocesan of the AFFI Episcopal District One Council. We praise
God for our visionary, Presiding Prelate, Bishop Charles E.
Johnson who has not only lead our Organization, but has also
carried our District One Council since the passing of our beloved
Bishop Frank Johnson. I am honored to be chosen to work along
with the leadership of District One, our outstanding Council
Chairman, Bishop Philip S. Watkins, Assistant Council
Chairman, Bishop Joseph Marcus, Officers and Auxiliary Staff
who have worked diligently to make this Council a success.
I would like to welcome all our AFFI Episcopal District One Pastors, First Lady’s, Officers, Members
and Visitors to our March Council Session. We graciously embrace the theme our Presider has
selected for this coming year, “We shall Never be Defeated”! (Matthew 16:18) as Christ declared unto
Peter, ....and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
We, the church of the living God, must not be afraid, what man can do unto us, for with Christ on our
side, We Can Do All Things!
As we move onward, let us continue to hold one another in prayer, love one another and prepare our
hearts and minds for the ways in which God is calling us forward in faith.
